Standard Features & Benefits
  • The Model 6024 and 6044 have a temperature range of 10°C above ambient to CO2 Incubator60°C. Temperature is controlled with a drift-resistant RTD temperature sensor, providing stable temperature control over long periods of time.
  • Caron's earth friendly gVapor™ creates controlled humidity. It is unlike conventional steam generator humidification systems. gVapor delivers controlled humidity vapor on an as-needed basis without wasting energy or generating heat, and eliminates the need for a water pan.
  • An IR sensor is utilized to maintain a CO2 range of 0 to 20%. Caron's IR sensor is a safe and time-tested technology that allows for quick recovery after door openings and an ultra-stable environment where your cell cultures will thrive.
  • The rapid Decontamination Cycle cleans the incubator overnight with the push of a button, minimizing downtime.
  • Caron's gentle, horizontal airflow system generates evenly distributed airflow across all shelf locations. Maximum uniformity and rapid recovery are maintained even under heavy loads.

  • Caron's large capacity Refrigerated CO2 Incubators are designed for more demanding applications with all of the features and benefits listed above.
  • The Refrigerated CO2 Incubators, Model 6026 and 6046, have a temperature range of 5°C to 60°C for applications where the heat generated by shakers or stirrers must be removed.
  • Models 6026 and 6046 feature Caron's earth friendly gROD™, Refrigeration on Demand, to efficiently manager power consumption and save energy. gROD™ effectively runs refrigeration on an as-needed basis only, opposed to competitive units that run refrigeration at all times to maintain temperature setpoints.
Decontamination Cycle
The Industry's Only Reach-In CO2 Incubators to Offer a Decon Cycle
 
While every precaution is taken to avoid susceptibility to contamination, an easy to use, maintenance free decontamination cycle is standard for added peace of mind.

Caron's 90°C moist heat decontamination cycle is a scientifically proven method for safe and effective decontamination.

The design further simplifies and accelerates conventional moist heat cycles by adding a drying phase, making it the fastest 90°C moist heat decontamination cycle in the industry. This new feature occurs at the end of the decon cycle and pumps HEPA filtered air into the incubator. The result is a clean, dry incubator with no additional cleanup needed. The drying cycle quickly cools the incubator as the last phase of the maintenance free, overnight decon cycle.

IR Sensor
Provides Precise CO2 Control

Caron's Reach-In CO2 Incubators utilize a single beam, dual-wavelength IR CO2 Sensor to most accurately measure levels of CO2 in the incubator. It is the leading, proven technology in the field of CO2 measurements and offers unmatched, precise control and stability over wide temperature ranges. IR Sensors are not affected by temperature or humidity and solely read CO2 levels, opposed to thermal conductivity (T/C) sensors that base measurements upon temperature, humidity and CO2 levels. On average, CO2 recovers in less than five minutes after a thirty second door opening, opposed to a recovery time of thirty minutes in an incubator utilizing a T/C sensor.
