CARON Products & Services, Inc. announced today that Steve Keiser has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Dave Figel has joined the Company as Director of Engineering. Keiser, who is also the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Marietta-based Christy & Associates, Inc. said, "We are extremely pleased that Dave has chosen to join the CARON team and we anticipate that future growth will make it possible to further expand our team in Marietta".
Keiser graduated from the University of Missouri - St Louis and brings 24 years experience with Thermo Electron Corporation and its predecessors including Director of Operations/Site Leader for Thermo’s Marietta unit (formerly Forma Scientific), a leading CO2 incubator, ULT freezer, and biological safety cabinet business; Vice President, Operational Excellence for Thermo's Bioscience Technology Division; President of Thermo IEC; U.S. Vice President & CFO for Life Sciences International, plc; and other executive positions in Thermo’s laboratory equipment and instrument divisions. Earlier in his career, Keiser was employed by Sigma-Aldrich Corporation and Mallinckrodt/Tyco Healthcare.
Figel will be responsible for leading CARON’s new product development, sustaining engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. A graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology, Figel brings twelve years of experience as Project Manager for the Incubator Products Team at Thermo Electron (formerly Forma Scientific), Marietta, Ohio. At Thermo, Figel was responsible for directing the new product development efforts associated with CO2 incubators and environmental chambers. He also served as a software/hardware engineer to design and develop control systems for incubators, ultra-low temperature freezers, and environmental chambers. Early in his career, Figel was employed by Pressco Technology in Solon, Ohio as an embedded hardware and software development engineer.
