CARON Introduces an Insect Growth Chamber

2006-12-05

( Marietta, OH, December 5, 2006)  CARON's NEW Model 6035 Insect Growth Chamber provides a unique high volume solution for a wide variety of entomological studies.  Many standard features have been incorporated in the design to specifically support insect growth for genetic research in an environmental chamber.  The Model 6035 is being introduced at the Entomological Society of America exhibit (Booth #501) in December.

A wide temperature range of 5°C to 60°C, combined with a humidity range of 20% to 95% RH, offers you the flexibility to simulate nearly any environmental condition.  Phenolic-coated refrigeration coils resist the corrosive effects of acids that are inherent in the rearing of insects such as drosophila.

An optional LED lighting system can be used to simulate diurnal (day/night studies).  This low profile, side mounted LED lighting system allows full utilization of the chamber interior and complete access to the sliding shelves.  Unlike conventional fluorescent lamps, LED lighting is sealed against moisture and generates a very low heat load.  Additional information can be found at www.caronproducts.com.
