CARON's founder, Jon F. Bergen, 67, of Marietta, Ohio, died at 10:25 am on Sunday, December 30, 2007, following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

 

Mr. Bergen started Caron Products in 1985 after many years of experience in the laboratory equipment field.  Formerly involved in his family business of Forma Scientific (Marietta, OH), and co-founder of Queue Systems (Parkersburg, WV), Mr. Bergen brought a wealth of manufacturing knowledge and an entrepreneurial spirit that only his declining health was able to diminish.

 

Jon will always be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, honesty, and total commitment to customer satisfaction.  He is survived by his mother, wife, four daughters, nine grandchildren, twin brother, and a host of former employees who will be ever grateful for the privilege of working with him.
