September 1, 2008) CARON Products announced today that Dave Figel has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering/Operations. Figel joined the company in September 2005 and has served as Director of Engineering for the past three years. During that time, he led the CARON engineering group in filling a new product development pipeline that has resulted in a series of new innovative products. Several of the products have been released, with more to be launched over the next year. "Under Dave Figel's leadership, the New Product Development Team has positioned CARON for years of future growth by developing high-performance products with best-in-class features." said Steve Keiser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CARON. “Dave and his team have succeeded in rolling out new platforms, updating almost 90% of our existing products, and incorporating the new Caron look into everything we make,” said Keiser.
While Figel will continue to be responsible for leading CARON’s new product development and sustaining engineering functions, he will expand his role in building CARON's manufacturing capabilities and supply chain operations.
A graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology, Figel served as Project Manager for the Incubator Products Team at Thermo Electron (formerly Forma Scientific),

Early in his career, Figel was employed by Pressco Technology in Solon,
