Caron Timeline:

  • 1985 - Caron founded by industry veteran Jon Bergen
  • 1993 - Founder retires
  • 2000 - Company outgrows original building, moves to current factory
  • 2008 - Caron creates the first dedicated ICH Q1B (Option 2) photostability chamber
  • 2011 - Caron introduces unique GelJacket thermal protection technology
  • 2012 - Facility is expanded to meet expanding production volume
  • 2014 - Caron releases cutting-edge touchscreen controls across product lines
  • 2014 - Caron broadens into larger double & triple-door reach-in chambers
  • 2017 - Caron launches Wally, a revolutionary new CO2 incubator
  • 2017 - Caron brings new H2O2 sterilization technology to large reach-in chambers
  • 2018 - Caron launches gBrite; a family of LED-powered plant growth chambers
  • 2019 - Caron's space-saving Wally receives CE mark, and expands with Direct Heat version
  • 2020 - Caron partners with SFW Capital Partners to drive investment and growth
  • 2021 - Jay Hexamer becomes Caron's CEO; previous CEO Steve Keiser retires and joins new Board of Directors
  • 2021 - Caron acquires UK-based Bigneat, expanding its laboratory equipment portfolio
  • 2022 - Caron continues to expand into the Cell & Gene Therapy space with standard cGMP cell manufacturing cleanroom incubator options
